東京都市大学 原子力システム研究室では、資源/廃棄物に責任を持ち、かつ優れた固有安全性を有する高速炉概念を追及しています。この度、本研究の一環として、高速炉の安全性をテーマとした専門家会合を企画しました。
ナトリウム冷却高速炉の炉心は、一般に、最大反応度体系として構成されていないため、仮想的炉心崩壊事故(HCDA)時には臨界性が増大し、特に大型炉では機械的エネルギーを放出する可能性のあることが、高速炉開発当初、懸念されていました。これに関し、各国の研究機関で多くの研究資源が投入され、その機構の理解や技術的対応策の検討が進められてきました。
この度、米国の高速炉開発を先導してきた元米国原子力学会会長のAlan E. Waltar氏をはじめ、国内の高速炉安全の専門家をお招きし、”A Topical Expert Meeting on Re-criticality Free SFR Concepts during HCDA”と題する会合を開催いたしますのでご案内申し上げます。

A topical meeting on “Re-criticality Free Sodium-cooled Fast Reactor Concepts during Hypothetical Core Disruptive Accidents” hosted by Tokyo City Univ., will take place in Setagaya, Tokyo on October 27, 2016.
